About the Director
Della M. Cowall holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance/Performance) from the U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Master of Fine Arts (Dance/Choreography) from Connecticut College. She has taught dance and movement for preschool through adults for over thirty years. Besides teaching community classes for Née Danse/Theatre since 1994, Ms. Cowall has taught university courses (Ballet I - III, Modern I - IV, Jazz I, II, Tap I, Composition, Improvisation, Dance History I, II, Dance Appreciation, Dance & Movement for the Actor -undergraduate and graduate, and Basic Movement) at Temple U, Lander U, Susquehanna U, Gettysburg College, and Messiah College. She has served as dance and acting faculty at the Peabody Conservatory (Baltimore), Interlochen Summer Music Academy (Michigan), and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (Michigan). She enjoys teaching the youngest dancers for their innocence and willingness to try everything and the oldest dancers for their mindful engagement.
